a growing number of women are requesting delivery by elective cesarean section without an accepted medical indication. This trend is due in part to the general perception that cesarean delivery is much safer now than in the past. However, there is still a greater risk to the mother due to the greater incidence of blood loss and infection. The goal of this campaign was to inform expectant mothers of these risks as well as educate them about the benefits to baby when delivered vaginally. Lifelong benefits include greater immunity and lower prevalence of allergies. Every woman deserves her best birth plan.
